Dr. Justin Mull is an experienced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with 15 years of advanced surgical, anesthesia, clinical, and teaching experience.
Dr. Mull grew up all over the world as his physician father helped build hospitals in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. He returned to the United States for high school and, after graduating from Phillips Exeter Academy, attended Cornell University where he majored in Neurobiology and was a member of the crew team. During breaks from college, he worked as a dental technician and did everything from fabricating crowns to removable prosthetics. This experience sparked his passion for dentistry and led him to the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in his birthplace of Boston.
After dental school, Dr. Mull completed a General Practice Residency at the VA in West Los Angeles and conducted implant research with UCLA faculty, which further developed his interest in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He then returned to the East Coast to complete his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, where he gained full-scope training at several busy Level I trauma centers in New York City. During residency, he also participated in craniofacial surgery outreach work in Ethiopia and Venezuela.
Following residency, Dr. Mull served as an adjunct faculty member for Boston University for nearly a decade before transitioning to private practice in California. His love of the outdoors and the opportunity to be closer to family ultimately brought him to Colorado.
With his extensive background, Dr. Mull brings exceptional clinical skill, precision, and judgment to every procedure. His experience across hospital, academic, and private practice surgical settings has shaped a calm, empathetic, and meticulous approach to patient care. He values clear communication and multidisciplinary collaboration to help achieve the highest level of outcomes and patient experience.
Outside of the office, Dr. Mull is an avid musician who plays the clarinet, piano, and guitar. He also enjoys sailing, fishing, carpentry, and building custom computers for friends and family. He is also a devoted New England Patriots fan, though he hopes that will not be held against him.
